Job summary

Kainos is expanding its Experience Design capability and seeks an experienced User Researcher (Consultant) to lead research efforts, coach a small team, and shape services for digital products.

You will manage staff performance, develop career paths, and collaborate with client teams to deliver actionable insights. The role emphasizes user-centred design and a people-first culture that values collaboration and impact.

MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS

• Lead, plan, develop, and conduct research activities, ensuring the right methods are applied
• Expert knowledge and application of qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Sound understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles
• Work closely with client teams to deliver relevant and appropriate research plans and strategies
• Designs and leads workshops across a project lifecycle
• Represents user research across the organisation
• We are passionate about developing people
• A demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing senior members of your team and wider community
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Strong stakeholder management skills
