Job summary

Pybus Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Used Car Strategy Specialist to lead a national used vehicles strategy from its Head Office in Chiswick Park, West London. The role focuses on shaping used car performance, supporting a dealer network, and protecting residual values within a market-leading programme.

Work with Finance, Residual Value and Remarketing teams to optimise profitability, stock management, and brand standards across the UK. Office-based, full-time role with a strong bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Used Car Management, Used Vehicle Operations, Remarketing, or Automotive Strategy.
• Experience at OEM/manufacturer level or in a senior position in a large automotive retail group.
• Strong understanding of the UK used vehicle market, CAP HPI valuations, auction channels, stock acquisition, and remarketing.
• Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to analyse performance data and develop sales strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence dealer networks and drive improvements.
• Experience in developing an Approved Used Vehicle programme is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse network-wide used vehicle performance, stock turn, profitability, and KPIs.
• Identify market trends and develop strategies to increase sales volumes and margins.
• Work with franchise dealerships to maximise used car performance and profitability.
• Provide guidance on sourcing, stock management, pricing, and presentation.
• Support dealers in maintaining high operational and brand standards.
• Collaborate with finance teams to create and implement retail finance campaigns.
