Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment's client, a specialist travel company, seeks experienced Tailor-Made Consultants to design bespoke holidays to the USA and Canada. You will tailor make itineraries, source ground arrangements, and manage enquiries to deliver perfect holiday experiences.

You should have a solid travel background, strong selling skills, and be comfortable working to sales targets. Knowledge of destinations, excellent client communication, and familiarity with GDS (Galileo/Amadeus

Qualifications

• Solid travel background with good geographical knowledge.
• Knowledge of USA/Canada destinations preferred.
• Strong selling skills and ability to convert enquiries into sales.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to use own initiative and work to deadlines.
• Accurate with attention to detail and a team player.
• Able to work towards sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed itineraries to exactly suit the customers' requirements (telephone and email).
• Source varied ground arrangements with overseas suppliers, ensuring exact meeting of client needs.
• Liaise with agents and clients during quotation process.
• Use web-based systems to check live availability of products.
• Process bookings on an in-house system.
• Maintain excellent customer service throughout.

My client a specialist travel company who offers an excellent range of tailor-made products to the USA and Canada are seeking experienced Tailor-Made Consultants to join their successful team. As a USA and Canada specialist, you will be tailor making holidays to the USA & Canada and creating the perfect holiday experience for customers.

Company/Role Overview:

My client are looking for a positive individual with an experience and passion for selling tailor-made holidays to USA and Canada. Previous experience working for a specialised Travel Company is essential.

Key Duties:

• * Create detailed itineraries to exactly suit the customers' requirements (both telephone and email enquiries)
• * Source varied ground arrangements with overseas suppliers, ensuring your itinerary exactly meets the client's requirements.
• * Liaising with agents and clients at various stages of the quotation process
• * Use various web-based systems to check live availability of products
• * Process bookings on an in-house system
• * Maintaining excellent customer service throughout

Skills & Experience:

• * Solid travel background with good geographical knowledge
• * Knowledge of at least one or more of our destinations would be beneficial
• * Strong selling skills with proven ability to convert enquiries into sales
• * Excellent communication & customer service skills
• * Ability to use own initiative
• * Accuracy and attention to detail are a must
• * You must be able to work well as part of a team
