Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment seeks a Destination Specialist Travel Consultant for Canada. The role focuses on liaising with Travel Agencies to create bespoke, luxury itineraries, from beach getaways to multi-centre trips, for High-Net-Worth clients, working in the North-West.

Experience selling long-haul tailor-made itineraries to Canada and a background with GDS systems is preferred. A hybrid working arrangement is possible if you are near the North-West office.

Qualifications

• This role requires solid experience in luxury, long-haul sales via the trade.
• Experience selling tailor-made itineraries to Canada.
• Good knowledge of travel industry product and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with travel agencies by phone and email to build Canada itineraries for luxury budgets.
• Understand client needs to design the most suitable itinerary.
• Source ground arrangements with overseas suppliers.
• Advise clients on options using destination/product knowledge.
• Provide excellent service and post-travel follow-ups.
• Work towards sales targets with uncapped commission.
• Hours: 08:45–17:45 Mon–Fri; Saturdays on a rota with a day off in lieu.

Our client, a Luxury Tailor-Made Tour Operator based in the North-West are expanding their team and are looking for Destination Specialists for Canada. Specialising in long-haul, they create bespoke itineraries from super luxury beach holidays to multi-centre adventure holidays, travelling independent or as part of a group. Whatever their High-Net-Worth Clients are seeking, they can create! If you have solid experience in luxury, long-haul sales via the trade, as a Travel Consultant, and excellent knowledge of these destinations, this is a great new opportunity on the travel job market.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Destination Specialist Travel Consultant

• Liaising via phone and email, primarily via Travel Agencies to put together Canada travel itineraries, for luxury budgets
• Aim to make dream holidays a reality by ensuring you understand all the clients' needs, to create the most appropriate itinerary
• Types of holidays vary with the needs of the clients: beach, adventurer, history, culture, exploring the natural world, city destinations, multi-centres, independent or group travel
• Source ground arrangements with overseas supplier.
• Using your travel industry experience and solid destination / product knowledge to assist you in advising your clients on their options.
• Offering excellent customer service throughout the process, to ensure an amazing holiday experience including follows ups post travel
• Working towards sales targets to achieve commission that is uncapped.
• Working hours 0845-1745 Mon-Fri (Saturdays on a fair rota basis with a day off in lieu)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Destination Specialist Travel Consultant

This is an excellent position working for an established and growing, specialist Tour Operator as a Destination Specialist Travel Consultant. To be fully home-based you will have previous experience of working for a luxury Tour Operator, have sold long-haul and tailor-made itineraries to Canada using GDS systems. If you're close to the office, they would love to see you on a hybrid basis!
