We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join a leading specialist insurance provider with a focus on emerging risks and innovative cyber solutions. This dynamic role will involve writing multiple classes of insurance, including E&O, CGL, property and business interruption, cyber, legal expenses, and D&O. You will play a key role in all aspects of underwriting, from new business and renewals to building strong, long-term broker relationships.

As part of our collaborative team, you'll use cutting-edge technology and data science to deliver smarter underwriting and offer tailored solutions for businesses in need of comprehensive coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond promptly and professionally to broker inquiries, providing quotations for new and renewal business within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
Proactively seek new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers to generate profitable US Professions business.
Communicate the features and benefits of a range of Professions insurance products, driving product launches and raising awareness of coverage enhancements.
Present internally and externally on products, emerging risks, and key industry trends.
Conduct research to develop expertise in Professions classes and stay informed about relevant legislation, regulation, and compliance matters in our target markets.
Offer guidance and technical support to junior team members, assisting with underwriting queries and professional development.
Collaborate on team projects, such as product improvements, new product launches, and system enhancements.
Contribute to meeting team performance targets and overall business goals.
Travel for business trips to the US and internationally as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

Experience: 3–5 years of underwriting experience in a professional liability role, with exposure to multiple classes of insurance.
Specialist Knowledge: Experience in underwriting UK professions is preferred, particularly in areas such as architects, engineers, accountants, and miscellaneous professionals.
Skills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess complex risks; excellent communication skills (both verbal and written); confident in presenting to both small and large audiences; proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Self-driven: A proactive approach to deadlines and targets, with a focus on teamwork and achieving results.
Education: Degree-level education (2:1 or higher) and CII certification (ACII preferred).
