A leading healthcare provider is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant for their Urology Outpatient Team. This role includes supporting patients during Local Anaesthetic Transperineal biopsies and flexible cystoscopy procedures. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in an outpatient setting and hands-on experience in urology.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in an outpatient setting.
• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant in urology for at least 6 months in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Assess and deliver individualized nursing care for urology outpatient procedures.
• Prepare and manage clinical environments for LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopies.

Are you an experienced and compassionate nurse looking to develop your skills in a specialist setting? We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated Urology Outpatients Team, supporting patients undergoing Local Anaesthetic Transperineal (LATP) biopsies and flexible cystoscopy procedures.

? About the Role:

You’ll be part of a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care. This role involves clinical support and patient coordination for urology diagnostic and treatment clinics, particularly LATP and flexible cystoscopy services. You will play a key role in maintaining patient dignity and comfort while assisting with minor surgical procedures and consultations.

? Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients attending urology outpatient procedures
• Prepare and manage clinical environments for LATP biopsies and flexible cystoscopies
• Assist urologists with procedures, including patient positioning, local anaesthetic administration, and equipment handling
• Deliver patient education and aftercare advice
• Ensure effective infection prevention and control measures
• Accurately document care delivered and contribute to quality improvement

About You:

• 2 years minimum experience within an Outpatient setting
• Currently practicing or has practised within Urology outpatients as a HCA, for a minimum of 6 months, over the last 12-month period.
