We are delighted to offer the opportunity to join our friendly team at the QEHB. We are looking for highly motivated and experienced in acute clinical setting band 5 staff nurse who enjoy a fast-paced environment and delivering excellence in care.
You will be joining our friendly, diverse team in Infectious Disease/Acute Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth hospital Birmingham. As a band 5 nurse in the clinical setting you will be delivering patient centered care. You will also be expected to help with phlebotomy and PICC line care.
Candidates will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team who need to be organised and hardworking individuals. You will need to be an excellent communicator, team player, problem solver and be willing to deal with difficult situations and competing demands.
If successful, you would be supported to develop relevant clinical skills and other learning opportunities via the Clinical Education Team and specialists infectious disease study days.
The post holder must
Use up to date knowledge and evidence to assess, plan, deliver and evaluate care, communicate findings, influence changes and promote health and best practice.
Competent in managing the care of a group pf patients- admit and discharge patients, drug administration, wound care, perform vital signs and care of acutely ill patients.
Needs a positive and enthusiastic attitude, reliable, flexible, caring and compassionate, approachable and good communication skills - written and verbal.
