The Healthcare Assistant posting at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, operated by Stellar Healthcare, supports ECGs, urinalysis, dressings and patient observations in a GP-led minor illness service. You will also assist with reception, record-keeping and stock control while maintaining a safe environment.

Applicants should have prior HCA experience in primary/secondary care, DBS clearance and a caring, communicative approach to patients and families in distressing situations.

Formación

• GCSE or equivalent qualification required.
• Basic IT skills are essential.
• Willingness to undertake relevant study as part of the role.

Responsabilidades

• Perform ECGs, urinalysis, dressings and department audits with the clinical team.
• Carry out clinical observations (BP, temperature, heart rate, SpO2).
• Take blood glucose, D-dimer, and assist with oxygen administration as directed.
• Provide basic life support when needed.
• Provide information and support to anxious or distressed patients.
