Job summary

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Salaried GP in an urgent and emergency care setting across NSECH and UTCs. The role is permanent, flexibly tabulated with 9 sessions weekly including evenings and weekends.

Salary £102,592–£116,377 per annum, with generous leave and pension, and extensive staff wellbeing support. You will work with NSECH Front Door Service and UTCs, providing high‑quality acute primary care and guidance to junior staff, while benefiting from

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration.
• Vocational Training Certificate or equivalent (JCPTGP/nMRCGP).
• Membership of a recognised defence union (MPS/MDU).
• Currently on a performers list and never been removed.
• DRCOG, DFFP/FFFP and DCH qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute primary care to walk-in patients or referrals via NHS 111.
• Support Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Practitioners and GP Registrars on shift.
• Join NSECH Front Door Service for Nurse Practitioner led streaming and fast assessment.
• Work flexibly across NSECH, UTCs and other sites with weekend/evening rotations.
• Participate in training, shadowing and ongoing workforce development.
