Job summary

Local Care Direct in Bradford is seeking Part-Time Drivers to join our urgent care team, helping ensure patients receive safe, timely and compassionate care across West Yorkshire. As a Driver you will transport the Duty Clinician to homes and other locations, support home visits with equipment and medications, and contribute to high‑quality patient care with flexible shifts on a 4‑week rolling rota.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Extensive experience driving in cities and on motorways, both day and night.
• Strong planning, organisation and communication skills.
• A customer‑focused approach and the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Transport the Duty Clinician safely to patients’ homes and other locations across West Yorkshire.
• Support home visits by managing medical equipment and medications.
• Provide patient transport services when required.
• Assist with administrative tasks to enable effective and efficient patient care.
• Support operational colleagues during periods of unplanned staff absence.
• Play an active role as part of a wider multidisciplinary team focused on patient safety and wellbeing.
