DX Network Services invites applications for the Urban Driver Apprenticeship, a 15-month programme designed to train new drivers while you progress toward a Category C1 (7.5t) licence. The role blends office duties, driving, and on‑the‑job training within the DX network.

Apprentices will undertake training with GTG, gain CPC licences, and be prepared for a full-time 7.5t Driver position on completion. Eligibility requires 18+, 12 months UK driving experience, and Category B licence.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ requirement.
• UK driving experience of at least 12 months.
• Category B licence required.
• CPC licences are part of the apprenticeship training.

Responsibilities

• Represent DX in a professional manner.
• Carry out all tasks required as part of the apprenticeship training.
• Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner with compliant paperwork.
• Complete daily checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries are loaded safely and paperwork is correct.
• Observe DX procedures and policies at all times.
• Manage routing to achieve premium and timely deliveries.
• Use the correct PPE and equipment.
• Report road issues to the traffic office.
• Ensure customers receive deliveries in excellent condition.
• Handle customer issues politely and effectively.
• Coordinate collections as instructed.
