Job summary

DX in Manchester is offering an Urban Driver Apprentice programme that spans 15 months, training you for a Category C1 (7.5t) licence with the aim of securing a full-time 7.5t driver position at DX. The apprenticeship includes non-driving duties during training and CPC licences as part of the programme.

Applicants will undertake training alongside daily tasks, including office work, driving support, and warehousing, to build skills and behaviours required for professional driving.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 or over and have a minimum of 12 months UK driving experience.
• Must hold a Category B licence.

Responsibilities

• Represent DX in a professional manner at all times.
• Carry out all tasks required as part of the apprenticeship training.
• Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements at all times.
• All daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are reported and paperwork completed.
• Ensure all products are scanned using DX scanning equipment.
• Ensure the correct equipment and PPE are in good order and used at all times.
• Manage routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved.
