Job summary

TechPoint Group in the UK seeks a Maintenance Equipment Engineer to lead maintenance and repair of critical production equipment across SMT lines. You will work hands-on on reflow ovens, pick & place, AOI, and coating systems, fault-finding electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and control systems.

You will develop maintenance schedules, supervise contractors, manage spares, and drive uptime to achieve world-class OEE. Strong IT and safety background required; occasional site travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in SMT/PCB manufacturing and related equipment.
• Strong fault finding on electrical, electronic, pneumatic and control systems.
• Experience with maintenance of surface mount equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for working with colleagues and contractors.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with customer-facing exposure.
• Ability to control spend while achieving uptime targets.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on repairs and maintenance on key site services and production equipment.
• Fault find on SMT lines and related equipment (e.g., reflow ovens, pick & place, AOI).
• Manage contractors and PTW processes.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules using a CMMS.
• Build relationships with site contractors and engineering service providers.
• Raise POs and manage spares and budgets.
