microTECH Global Limited in Luton is seeking an Equipment Technician to join a busy semiconductor manufacturing facility. You will maintain, repair and continuously improve wafer fabrication equipment, maximise uptime and troubleshoot complex faults.

Work with Manufacturing, Process Engineering and Equipment Engineering to keep tools operational and drive cost reductions while developing maintenance procedures and technical documentation.

Competenze

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Engineering, Electronics, Science, Materials Science or a related discipline.
• Strong fault-finding experience on complex manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electronic PCBs to component level.
• Excellent electronics knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; willing to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Proven problem-solving skills within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Experience documenting maintenance procedures and technical processes.
• Ability to work with suppliers, contractors and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Mansioni

• Maintain uptime across key semiconductor process equipment.
• Diagnose and repair complex equipment faults, including PCB repair to component level.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic and mechanical issues on manufacturing tools.
• Support technicians and manufacturing teams with technical guidance and fault resolution.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers, Equipment Engineering and Production to minimise downtime.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Assist with planned maintenance, equipment upgrades and improvement projects.
• Develop and maintain maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
• Liaise with OEMs, subcontractors and service engineers during repairs and installations.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with cleanroom/site procedures.
