Job summary

Renford Recruitment Ltd in Stourbridge is seeking an experienced Upset Forging Operative to join a well-established forging company. You will operate upset forging machinery to produce high-quality components used across engineering and manufacturing sectors.

This role offers an immediate start with a potential permanent position after a successful trial period. Hours are Monday-Thursday 07:45–16:45 and Friday 07:45–15:45, with overtime available.

• Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced industrial environment.
• Understanding of forging processes and metal behaviour.
• Comfortable with manual handling and physical work.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate upset forging machines safely and efficiently.
• Heat, shape and form metal components to specification.
• Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments.
• Work with hot metal, heavy tooling and industrial equipment.
• Carry out basic quality checks on finished parts.
• Follow production plans, job sheets and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised working area.
• Work closely with the forging team and shift supervisors.

• Previous experience in upset forging, hot forging, or heavy manufacturing

• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Hours of Work:

• Monday - Thursday: 07:45 - 16:45
• Friday: 07:45 - 15:45

Rate of Pay:

Starting From

• £13.50 Per hour depending on experience
