Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd in Leeds, West Yorkshire, is seeking a skilled Upholsterer to join our manufacturing team on a permanent basis. The role involves building and upholstering components such as chairs, stools, headboards and pads using fabrics, leather and vinyl, with emphasis on quality and timely production.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience in contract furniture upholstery.
• Proven experience upholstering chairs, stools, headboards and other furniture components using a variety of fabrics, leather and vinyl.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high:quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
• Flexible, proactive and able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements within a manufacturing or workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Foaming chairs, headboards, stools, seats and pads.
• Upholstering and tacking a range of materials including leather, vinyl and fabric.
• Measuring, cutting and preparing upholstery materials.
• Building and preparing upholstered furniture components to a high standard.
• Carrying out furniture repairs and re:upholstery where required.
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Producing accurate, high:quality work within agreed timescales.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets.
• Adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements.

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience.

Employment: Permanent, 39 hours per week

Work schedule: Monday :Thursday 7am:3:30pm, Friday 7am:2:30pm

Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Upholsterer to join our growing team.
