Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking an experienced Upholsterer for a temp-to-perm role in Telford. You will upholster a range of products from frames to finished pieces, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and finish.

The position requires experience with upholstery techniques and attention to detail, with responsibilities spanning from frames to completed items. You'll work to production schedules, fit components, maintain tools, and support a collaborative workshop team.

Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30-16:30 (Early finish on a Friday)

Contract: Temp-to-Perm

About the Role

We’re recruiting a skilled Upholsterer to join a growing furniture manufacturing team. You’ll be responsible for upholstering a variety of products, from frames to finished pieces, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Upholstering furniture frames using foams, fabrics, leathers, and trims
• Cutting materials to size using hand and power tools
• Fitting webbing, springs, padding, and coverings
• Completing repairs, refurbishments, and re‑upholstery work
• Working to production schedules and quality standards
• Maintaining tools and reporting any issues

What We’re Looking For

• Proven upholstery experience (traditional or modern techniques)
• Confident using pneumatic staple guns, cutting tools, and upholstery equipment
• Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
• Ability to read job sheets and follow instructions
• Good physical stamina and manual handling capability
• Skilled, supportive workshop team
