We are looking for a friendly, reliable and proactive male PA/Companion to support a 20 year old young man with social and leisure activities. This role is about helping him enjoy greater independence while spending time together in a natural and relaxed way that feels more like going out with a friend. Support will include accompanying him on trips into Central London, going to the gym, swimming, travelling by train and taking part in other activities he enjoys. The right person will understand how to encourage independence gently and confidently, giving CRO-SOH the time and space to make his own choices while offering support in a discreet and positive way. We are looking for someone who can take initiative, is patient, easy going and enjoys helping young people build confidence and independence in the community. A driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial as this could make travelling to local activities easier and reduce commuting time. Previous experience working as a Personal Assistant, Support Worker, Companion, Mentor, or in a similar role supporting young adults with additional needs would be highly desirable. Experience promoting independence, confidence-building, community participation, and social inclusion would be beneficial. A relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, Learning Disabilities, Autism Support, Youth Work, or a related field would be an advantage, although not essential. Strong communication skills, a positive and person-centered approach, and the ability to build trusting relationships are highly valued. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and experience supporting individuals to access leisure, fitness, and community activities would also be welcomed.
