He has a passion for music, enjoys good food, and loves spending time outdoors on picnics and walks. Swimming is another favourite activity, and he is happiest when out and about enjoying new experiences and engaging with the world around him.

He is a happy, enthusiastic, and focused individual who would benefit from the support of a lively and positive Personal Assistant who can encourage his interests, promote his independence, and help him access activities within the community.

The role includes providing personal care, alongside practical and social support tailored to his individual needs. The successful applicant will be caring, reliable, and proactive, with a person-centred approach and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others achieve their goals.

This is a rewarding opportunity to build a positive relationship with a wonderful young man and support him to continue enjoying the activities he loves while developing his confidence and independence.

The role will involve providing support with personal care, including toileting, showering or bathing, getting in and out of bed, and getting dressed. You will also support with meal preparation, eating and drinking, medication prompts and administration, household chores, general homemaking and food shopping.

You will support him to access social activities, as well as sporting and leisure activities such as swimming. You will encourage socialisation, friendships and independence, while helping him take part in activities he enjoys. He loves water and may also enjoy watering the garden.

The young man has cognitive, learning and mental health needs. He is non-verbal but can make his needs and wishes known. The successful applicant will need to be patient, attentive and able to communicate in a supportive and respectful way.

Only candidates aged 18 or over should apply, as the role includes administering medication.
