Job summary

Framestore Limited in London is seeking a skilled C++/Unreal Engine developer to join our Immersive Studio on a speculative, contract basis. You’ll work across the project lifecycle, prototyping and delivering interactive experiences for AR/VR, real-time animation, and location-based attractions.

The role is hybrid, based in our London studio with potential travel. You’ll collaborate with creative and production teams and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, performant engine work.

Qualifications

• Production‑critical C++ coding in a games/immersive/real-time environment.
• Strong Unreal Engine knowledge with Blueprint and engine architecture.
• Solid 3D math, real‑time physics, and asset pipeline understanding.
• Experience with version control, Agile/Sprint practices, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation of core interactive mechanics from concept to deployment.
• Write clean, documented C++ code within established architectures.
• Prototype features with creative/production teams and sensor integrations.
• Profile, debug, and optimize engine performance to meet platform targets.
• Guide non-technical teammates on engine best practices and asset budgets.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain internal technical documentation.
