Job summary

Framestore’s Immersive Studio in London seeks a skilled game engine programmer to join the team and deliver cutting-edge interactive experiences. You will build and deliver real-time applications across AR, VR, and location-based attractions, blending physical and virtual worlds.

Reporting to the Lead Game Programmer, you will write clean C++ within established architectures, prototype features with production teams, optimize performance, and occasionally travel internationally to oversee

Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming skills.
• Experience delivering real-time engine features.
• Ability to prototype and iterate rapidly with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end implementation of core interactive mechanics.
• Write clean, documented C++ code within existing architectures.
• Prototype experimental features with creative and production teams.
• Profile, debug, and optimize engine performance for target platforms.
• Guide artists and CG/VFX on engine best practices and budgets.
• Participate in code reviews and document technical details.
