Job summary

MFK Recruitment is seeking an Unreal Engine Developer in West London to build synthetic imagery for AI and computer vision projects. The role blends games, simulation, and VFX experience to advance production-grade tools.

You will collaborate with Unreal Developers, AI Researchers, 3D Artists and Python/C++ Engineers to automate scene generation, improve pipelines and scale the platform for production use, with onsite and some remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of commercial Unreal Engine development.
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
• Strong C++ and/or C# development skills in Unreal or real-time apps.
• Experience in games, simulation, VFX or virtual production.
• Knowledge of Unreal rendering and automation.
• Experience designing scalable production software.
• Experience with automated testing, CI/CD and containerised deployment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve Unreal Engine 5 applications for synthetic imagery generation.
• Automate object placement, cameras, lighting, weather and image-capture workflows.
• Transform research platform into scalable production software.
• Work with AI/ML engineers to optimise synthetic training datasets.
• Improve development, rendering and asset-production workflows.
• Develop intuitive tools to configure and generate synthetic imagery.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical design and product direction.
• Build and support CI/CD and containerised deployment processes.
• Support applications deployed within secure customer environments.
