Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated unqualified Primary Teaching Assistants to support KS1–KS2 across North Somerset, including Nailsea, Backwell, Clevedon, Portishead and Weston-Super-Mare.

Roles are full-time, long-term or permanent, with competitive pay and weekly pay, plus ongoing CPD. Ideal for those starting a career in education, patient, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting KS1/KS2 lessons.
  • Experience with SEND or additional learning needs is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to school environments.

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and accessible lessons across KS1 and KS2.
  • Work 1:1 or in small groups to assist students with SEND.
  • Help implement learning strategies, manage classroom routines, and promote positive behaviour.
  • Encourage student confidence, participation, and independence.
  • Contribute to a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Contract Type: Full-Time Long-Term or Permanent
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

We're currently recruiting passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work within Primary schools across North Somerset, specifically the Nailsea, Backwell, Clevedon, Portishead and Weston-Super-Mare areas starting as soon as possible. Your Role Will Include:

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Loves working with young people and thrives in a team setting
  • Communicates clearly and confidently with students and staff
  • Brings patience, empathy, and enthusiasm to every school day
  • Is adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
  • May have experience in childcare, youth work, support work, or coaching (preferred but not essential)
