Empowering Learning Ltd are recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support babies upwards in a busy private day nursery. Unqualified applicants with a warm, caring nature who can work well in a team will gain hands-on experience, develop essential skills and build a rewarding career in early years without needing a formal qualification.

You will follow safeguarding policies, support children's learning and personal care, including nappies, and contribute to a safe, positive, nurturing

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to working with children in a nursery or similar setting.
• Willingness to undertake personal care duties including nappies.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Ability to provide references covering the last 2 years.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping.

Empowering Learning Group are working in partnership with a large chain of private day nurseries, and we are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join their Early Years teams.

We are looking for Unqualified Early Years Teaching Assistants who are enthusiastic about working with children and are keen to develop their skills and experience within a nursery environment. You do not need to hold an Early Years qualification, but you must have some experience of working with children - either professionally or through relevant personal experience.

The Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will support the nursery team in providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children from babies upwards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting children with their learning, development and play.
• Helping to create a safe, positive and nurturing environment.
• Supporting children's personal care and hygiene needs, including changing nappies.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Assisting with activities that encourage children's development and curiosity.
• Supporting the wider nursery team with day-to-day duties.
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
• Ensuring children are cared for with patience, kindness and respect.

Essential Requirements

• Experience of working with or caring for children.
• Willingness and confidence to undertake personal care duties, including nappy changing.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for and purchase an Enhanced DBS.
• Ability to provide professional references covering the last 2 years of employment and/or education.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping.
