Job summary

Empowering Learning Group is seeking enthusiastic, unqualified Early Years Teaching Assistants to join our nursery teams. You will support children from babies upwards in a safe, caring environment and gain valuable hands-on experience.

No formal Early Years qualification is required, but a passion for working with children and a willingness to learn are essential. DBS checks and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with or caring for children.
• Willingness to undertake personal care duties (e.g., nappies).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
• Ability to provide professional references covering last 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Support learning, development and play in a safe, caring nursery environment.
• Help to create a positive, nurturing setting for children from babies upwards.
• Assist with personal care duties, including nappies.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support activities that promote development and curiosity.
• Help with day-to-day nursery duties and wider team tasks.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery policies at all times.
