Being a Unit Manager means taking responsibility for a specific part of the home and delivering the very best level of care. You will also run the entire home when the Home Manager and Deputy Home Manager are absent. Whether you’re reporting mobility issues, requesting a sample for monitoring, or administering medication, you’ll always prioritize resident dignity and well-being.

About You
You will have proven leadership skills in a care home for vulnerable adults. Beyond that, it’s your positive energy and ability to connect with people that matter. This role requires accountability, and you’ll be considerate and kind in all your interactions with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond. All colleagues must attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns appropriately.
