Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is recruiting Community Safety Wardens to patrol areas in Chester and surrounding borough locations, supporting the council’s safety priorities and engagement with local communities. The role involves enforcing ASB controls and working with partner agencies to reduce crime and improve public safety.

Successful candidates will join a committed team, work shifts including evenings and weekends, and must pass level 2 Police Vetting.

Qualifications

• The post will require an enthusiastic, conscientious and resilient individual.
• The role involves shift work including evenings and weekends.
• Subject to successful level 2 Police Vetting (DBS).

Responsibilities

• Foot patrols to deter ASB and environmental offences.
• Investigate ASB reports, gather evidence and help deliver solutions.
• Engage with local communities and partner agencies to reduce crime.
• Travel to locations across the borough as needed to meet operational requirements.
