Job summary

Avencia Talent Solutions Limited is seeking an enthusiastic entry-level candidate to start a career in insurance underwriting in Leeds. You will support the renewals team with administrative and technical tasks while learning the underwriting process.

Working with experienced underwriters, you will handle policy and risk information, liaise with brokers, and build your knowledge through on-the-job training and study towards CII qualifications.

Working alongside experienced underwriters, you will play an important role in supporting the renewals team and helping to deliver an exceptional service to brokers. What You'll Be Doing

• Providing day-to-day administrative and technical support to the underwriting team throughout the renewal process.
• Maintaining accurate policy and risk information across internal underwriting systems.
• Liaising with brokers via telephone and email to obtain outstanding renewal information and documentation.
• Reviewing survey reports and coordinating the communication of risk requirements to brokers.
• Managing renewal diaries, monitoring outstanding actions and proactively following up where necessary.
• Responding to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner.
• Building positive working relationships with brokers, underwriters and wider business teams.
• Using your initiative to identify outstanding tasks, solve problems and support the smooth running of the team.
• Assisting with additional projects and wider team activities as required.
