Job summary

AIG in the United Kingdom is seeking a Specialist Underwriting Support to partner with UK Underwriting Teams, handling end-to-end processing of new and renewal accounts and delivering high-quality service to brokers and clients.

The role offers comprehensive training and the opportunity to complete insurance qualifications, with a focus on collaboration and accurate data handling while primarily in the office.

Qualifications

• Minimum A-level standard of education or equivalent business experience.
• Some insurance experience is desirable.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Accounts across a cross-class portfolio.
• Efficiently and accurately ensure all new business and renewal accounts are processed.
• Proactive engagement with Underwriting to ensure smooth account handover and complete information.
• Liaise with Underwriters to ensure correct interpretation of data for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain documentation and files, ensuring central retention of records.
• Accountable for (RI) premium, (RI) commission and tax bookings in processing systems.
• Liaise with Credit Control to answer queries and monitor premium.
• Manage requests from clients and brokers, referring to Underwriting as needed.
• Regular interaction with offshore team—leading huddles, auditing work, quality control.
