Trading Underwriting Assistant - based in Manchester

Your new company: Your new company is one of the largest MGAs in the UK, with offices all over the UK that specialise in SME to mid-market Property & Casualty business. They have strong relationships with their panel of brokers and focus on client-centered underwriting strategies. Due to expansion within the Existing Business team, a Trading Underwriting Assistant position has arisen. This role is based in Manchester.

Your new role: As a Trading Underwriting Assistant, you will develop and maintain broker relationships by delivering excellent customer service and managing renewals efficiently. You will collaborate with your team and manager to establish and grow the Manchester Centre of Excellence. Responsibilities include handling broker and client requests such as renewals, mid-term adjustments, and cancellations, working with team members, building relationships with stakeholders, and managing large renewal cases. You will operate within your delegated underwriting authority and identify opportunities to improve processes.

What you'll need to succeed: Previous experience in a service-based industry and knowledge of good customer outcomes will help you succeed. You should be self-motivated, friendly, able to build relationships, quick to learn, and capable of meeting deadlines. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Ideally, you will be able to work under pressure, problem-solve, and be Cert CII qualified.
