Job summary

Starr Insurance Companies is seeking an administrator to support the Aviation division with defined clerical duties. You will enter risk and policy data, perform QA checks, and process policy and risk queries within service level agreements.

The role emphasizes accuracy, strong numeric skills, and proficient use of MS Office applications. You will contribute to month-end close and assist with audits and training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Enter risk and policy data into the Underwriting system(s) within defined SLAs.
  • Undertake peer-to-peer quality assurance checks within SLAs.
  • Communicate and respond to risk and policy queries promptly.
  • Process unmatched USMs within SLAs and escalate issues.
  • Assist with month-end close tasks.
  • Support credit control and aged debt queries as required.
  • Attend meetings to build internal relationships and understand the business.
  • Ensure Underwriting files are complete and documented.
  • Assist with company projects and training of new staff.
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required by management.
  • Maintain business logs and renewal pipeline spreadsheets.
  • Assist with peer review and internal/external audits.
  • Report any suspicion of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.

Role Purpose

To support the Aviation division through defined administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter risk and policy data in to the Underwriting system(s) within the defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Undertake peer-to-peer quality assurance checks within the defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Ensure all risk and policy queries are communicated through the appropriate channels and responded to in a timely manner.
  • Process unmatched USMs within the defined Service Level Agreements and elevate any issues through the appropriate channels.
  • Ensure all tasks are completed for month-end close.
  • Assist with credit control and provide support to the credit control team with aged debt and excess cash queries when required.
  • Attend team, departmental and divisional meetings to build, and maintain, internal relationships and continue understanding of the business.
  • Ensure that Underwriting files are complete and accurate. File all documentation into the document management storage folders as required per Class of Business. Obtain any outstanding items from the underwriting team.
  • Assist with, and drive forward, company projects as required.
  • Assist with the training of new team members as required.
  • Undertake other appropriate ad-hoc tasks and reporting as requested by the management team.
  • Maintaining business logs and renewal pipeline spreadsheets.
  • Assist with peer review
  • Ensure PBQA/CC is complete
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Report any suspicion of financial crime to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer immediately.
  • Operate within the Company’s standards for Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Manage any potential conflicts of interest to avoid disrepute to the company’s integrity.
  • Advise Compliance of any complaints immediately.
