Job summary

Starr is seeking a detail‑driven administrator to support the Aviation division with data entry, risk and policy updates, and SLA‑driven tasks within the underwriting workflow.

You will handle risk data, perform QA checks, assist with month‑end close, and support credit control while maintaining strong relationships across teams. The role emphasizes accuracy and effective communication in a busy London insurance environment.

• MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate, both in a written and verbal format.
• Interest in the London Insurance Market.

Responsibilities

• Enter risk and policy data into the Underwriting system(s) within defined SLAs.
• Undertake peer-to-peer quality assurance checks within SLAs.
• Communicate risk and policy queries through appropriate channels and respond promptly.
• Process unmatched USMs within SLAs and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with month-end close tasks and reporting.
• Support credit control and aged debt queries when required.
• Attend meetings to maintain internal relationships and business understanding.
• Ensure Underwriting files are complete and documentation filed per Class of Business.
• Assist with company projects and training of new team members.
• Undertake other ad-hoc tasks requested by management.
• Maintain business logs and renewal pipeline spreadsheets.
• Assist with peer review and internal audits.
