Job summary
Gold Fields is seeking a hands-on Mine Infrastructure Engineer to lead planning, design and scheduling for underground mine development at St Ives. You will work closely with the Senior Engineer: Mine Projects to deliver practical solutions that support production, with a focus on safety, efficiency and sustainable extraction of gold.
You will own the infrastructure schedule, partner with Fixed Plant on priorities, manage project costs against budgets, and adapt to evolving site needs.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong practical underground engineering experience.
- Experience with mine infrastructure design and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Mine planning design work, level/area extraction plans, three-month schedule and infrastructure requirements.
- Design and optimise underground mine infrastructure for Life-of-Mine strategy.
- Competency in underground ventilation; maintain/update Ventsim model.
- Manage pastefill activities, liaising with Pastefill Crew and Foreman.
- Project and contractor management for short- and long-term infrastructure projects.
