Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking a Senior Process Operator at our St Ives mine site to support the Process Shift Supervisor, lead by example, and assist with day-to-day plant operations. You will monitor and operate processing equipment, coordinate daily tasks, and drive safety culture across the team.

The role requires a strong background in gold processing, leadership experience, and the ability to liaise with Metallurgy and Maintenance to optimise performance.

Qualifications

• Senior Process Technician with significant gold processing experience.
• Demonstrates an uncompromising commitment to safety.
• Proven leader who coaches and mentors others.
• Experience with crushing, grinding, CIL/CIP, control room and gold room operations.

Responsibilities

• Support and coverage for the Shift Supervisor when required.
• Lead by example for safety culture and Vital Behaviours.
• Operate and monitor plant equipment across processing areas.
• Coordinate daily work activities, including unplanned tasks, reports and checklists.
• Liaise with Metallurgy and Maintenance to optimise performance and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate production data and shift reporting.
• Identify improvement opportunities to enhance team efficiency.
