Job summary

Octane Holdings is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to join our nationwide team based in Bradford, UK. The role covers installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of commercial fuel infrastructure and electrical systems across the UK.

You will work on new-build refuelling installations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance of fuel storage and dispensing systems, combining hands-on electrical work with fault diagnosis and customer support.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Electrical Engineer with proven field experience.
• Experience in commercial/industrial electrical installations.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
• Willingness to participate in out-of-hours call-outs.
• Experience with fuel tank gauging systems and control panels.
• Knowledge of ATEX/DSEAR installations.
• Previous field service engineering experience.
• JIB Gold Card.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission fuel storage and dispensing facilities.
• Install distribution boards, containment, and SWA cabling.
• Commission fuel management systems, control panels, and tank gauging equipment.
• Fault find, diagnose, and repair fuel dispensing equipment.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on pumps and systems.
• Complete service reports and certification.
• Travel nationwide and work away from home as needed.
• Maintain health and safety standards on client sites.
