Job summary

Rhenus Logistics is recruiting for a Transport Controller / Planner at Cannock Depot on site. Plan daily UK road freight collections and deliveries, coordinating with hauliers and customers to meet requirements while maximizing efficiency.

The role requires exceptional organisational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced transport environment. You will ensure activities comply with company procedures and record-keeping standards across

Qualifications

• Previous experience within UK road freight or transport planning.
• Strong knowledge of UK transport operations and logistics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload effectively.
• High level of organisational and administrative skills.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily UK collections and deliveries.
• Monitor vehicle movements and proactively manage delays or service issues.
• Monitor daily transport activity to ensure planned work is completed successfully.
• Liaise daily with hauliers to ensure collections and deliveries are completed as planned.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with transport partners.
• Resolve transport-related issues in a professional and timely manner.
