Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is seeking a technically strong Pre‑Sales Engineer to support the UK's solar PV sales cycle. You will act as the technical expert for EPC partners, developers, installers, and distributors, guiding system design and delivering compelling presentations.

The role demands excellent communication, broad solar PV knowledge, and ability to translate technical concepts for commercial audiences. Travel across the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering background in solar PV.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles (pre-sales, technical sales).
• Ability to translate technical concepts to commercial audiences.
• Knowledge of solar PV systems and inverter technologies.
• Experience engaging EPCs, installers, developers, or distribution partners.
• Willingness to travel across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre‑sales support across the solar PV portfolio.
• Support the UK sales team, EPCs, and partners during bids and tenders.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and customer training.
• Assist customers with system design and product selection.
• Develop technical recommendations from project requirements.
• Respond to RFIs and tender submissions with clear guidance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activity.
• Represent the company at conferences and customer meetings.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and service teams.
