Job summary

Cross Rental Services in Andover is hiring a Procurement Manager to own purchasing across UK sites. The role is hands‑on, focusing on controls, supplier terms, and compliance while supporting operational teams and capital projects. You will line‑manage one team member.

We seek a commercially sharp professional with strong negotiation skills, experience across depots and events, and an ability to coordinate activity across sites while maintaining robust supplier due diligence.

Qualifications

• Proven procurement experience across multiple UK sites.
• Strong negotiation skills with track record of improving supplier terms.
• Good understanding of purchasing controls, budgeting, and PO systems.
• Ability to coordinate activity across sites and develop a team.

Responsibilities

• Own and embed a clear Delegation of Authority and drive consistent use of the purchase order system across every site
• Lead commercial negotiations to improve pricing, credit terms, rebates and dual‑supply arrangements
• Oversee procurement for depots and Events contracts, working with operational teams to deliver on time and on budget
• Support CAPEX projects by sourcing equipment, tracking orders and monitoring spend against budgets
• Maintain supplier due diligence and audit trails in line with statutory and corporate requirements
• Guide stock levels and lead times, and ensure import/export compliance where required
• Line‑manage one Supply Chain Administrator and coach the workload
