Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. UK seeks a pricing governance professional to lead governance and controls for UK Pricing, reporting to the Head of Pricing, UK. You will develop governance frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance across pricing activities.

You will work with the Actuarial Function to promote the actuarial value proposition, monitor pricing governance, and support group-wide initiatives in pricing development.

Qualifications

• BSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or Similar.
• Qualified Actuary (FIA or equivalent) or Part Qualified Actuary with extensive experience.
• Experience in individual case pricing and pricing models within a general insurance environment.
• Significant knowledge of pricing performance metrics and governance.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for case pricing and governance.
• Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder influencing skills.
• MS Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance, controls, and technical pricing support.
• Contribute to model development, performance metrics, and portfolio analysis.
• Support business planning and underwriting risk parameterisation.
• Collaborate with actuarial function and other teams to ensure governance excellence.
• Communicate requirements clearly to stakeholders and maintain internal standards.
