Mintel is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our UK Accounts team, replacing an existing role and supporting accurate, timely payroll delivery across the UK business.

The role collaborates with HR, Finance, and our outsourced payroll provider ADP to ensure payroll, benefits, and statutory obligations are processed compliantly and on time, while providing day-to-day payroll expertise within a global organisation.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for UK payroll.
• Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider (ADP).
• Ability to ensure payroll, benefits, and statutory obligations are processed accurately and on time.
• Operational ownership and a mindset for process improvement.

Responsabilités

• Act as the primary internal owner for UK payroll activities, working with ADP to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing.
• Prepare, review, and submit payroll input files to ADP (starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, deductions, corrections).
• Validate ADP outputs, review calculations, variances, back pay, and reconciliations before final approval.
• Maintain payroll calendars, manage re-calculations, and resolve payroll errors and warnings.
• Manage payroll inputs for new starters/leavers, salary changes, promotions, changes to working hours, and other lifecycle events.
• Ensure accurate capture of statutory pay (SMP, SPP, SSP) and pension impacts, including manual adjustments where required.
• Administer payroll-related benefits and deductions with HR and providers (P11D, private medical insurance, dental plans, cycle to work, etc.).
