Met T&S Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage UK and expatriate payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing while complying with payroll legislation and company policies.

You will handle monthly payroll, statutory payments, auto-enrolment pensions, year-end reporting, and coordinate with HR, Finance, and Global Mobility. This role requires strong Excel and HRIS skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with outsourced

Qualifications

  • Experience in UK payroll administration and payroll operations.
  • Experience working with expatriate, international, or shadow payrolls.
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and year-end reporting.
  • Experience with outsourced payroll providers.
  • Strong payroll validation, reconciliation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely UK monthly payroll including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), PAYE, NI, student loans, and auto-enrolment pensions.
  • Manage payroll lifecycle activities including new starters, leavers, salary changes, payroll adjustments, and year-end processes (P60, P11D, P11D(b)).
  • Administer UK and expatriate payrolls (inbound and outbound assignments), including shadow payroll coordination and validation.
  • Partner with Global Mobility, HR, Finance, and payroll provider to ensure accurate payroll delivery.
  • Process expatriate payroll inputs including allowances, benefits, retention bonuses, leave records, pensions, deductions, and final settlements.
  • Ensure correct processing of allowances, benefits-in-kind, pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, and taxable and non-taxable payments.
  • Review and validate payroll calculations, reconciliations, reports and outputs for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain compliance with UK tax, social security, payroll legislation, auto-enrolment and UK GDPR.
  • Prepare payroll reports and support audits with documentation, controls and query resolution.
  • Act as payroll SME, guiding UK and expatriate employees on payslips, deductions, benefits and queries.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding, maintain accurate payroll/HR records, and assist with payroll system enhancements, testing, implementations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Global Mobility and international stakeholders to support payroll operations across multiple countries.

  • Work closely with HR,Finance, Global Mobility, and international stakeholders to supportpayroll operations across multiple countries.
Requirements
  • Provenexperience in UK payroll administration and payroll operations.
  • Experiencemanaging expatriate, international, or shadow payrolls.
  • Strongunderstanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance,pensions, statutory payments, and year-end reporting.
  • Experienceworking with outsourced payroll providers.
  • Strongpayroll validation, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
  • AdvancedExcel skills and experience with HRIS/payroll systems.
  • Excellentattention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strongcommunication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge & Qualifications
  • CIPP would be highly desirable rather than mandatory.

  • Minimum 3years payroll experience preferred
