Job summary

AMETEK SCP is establishing an operational presence in the United Kingdom and seeks an experienced, hands‑on Operations Manager to transition and grow the business.

The UK Operations Manager will lead day-to-day operations, embed UK processes, and work with US teams to transfer proven practices while coordinating local subcontractors and suppliers to deliver compliant, efficient manufacture and delivery.

Qualifications

• Integrate supply chain, engineering and operations to build complex products.
• Extensive transactional ERP knowledge for end-to-end manufacturing.
• Work autonomously and with remote teams.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent communication with distributed stakeholders.
• Detail‑driven with a hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day UK operations as the first operational leader.
• Embed core UK processes, controls, and best practices.
• Support UK admin, suppliers, compliance, and workflows.
• Coordinate with US Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering to align tech and quality.
• Manage UK subcontractors, suppliers, agents, and service providers.
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities.
• Track key metrics and report to senior stakeholders.
• Assist UK setup activities and future team expansion.
• Shape how the UK operation scales over time.
