Job summary

American Express seeks an Analyst for ICS Control Management UK Market Legal Entity. You will collaborate with multiple partners to embed risk governance and operational risk management in day-to-day operations, supporting regulatory changes integration and risk reporting.

Key responsibilities include assisting in execution plans for control gaps, supporting framework implementation, and coordinating governance committees while sharing insights across the Legal Entity.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational risk management within risk and/or internal audit functions.
• Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities.
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in process governance, aligning with policies/regulatory frameworks/operational standards.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in execution plans for operational risk management within the business unit, including guidelines and project plans for remediation.
• Support implementation of parts of the operational risk framework for effective risk management.
• Help communicate risk governance framework basics across business units.
• Assist with aggregate reporting, approvals, and change-the-function activities for the BU.
• Monitor integration of regulatory changes into the Operational Risk framework and training materials.
• Support Legal Entity Governance & Operational Risk committees with materials, follow-ups, and documentation.
• Share insights and best practices across the team and the Legal Entity.
