Job summary

Leo Lynch is seeking a UK Engineering Lead to provide senior technical ownership of engineering delivery across UK projects, encompassing mechanical and electrical work. The role requires strong leadership, design oversight, and the ability to coordinate BIM and procurement activities.

The successful candidate will manage the UK Engineering Team, drive standards, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, with regular travel to UK project sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience with Mechanical/M&E contracting in process mechanical/pipework.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services; Chartered Engineer status desirable.
• Proven track record delivering engineering on complex pharmaceutical, life sciences, or semiconductor projects.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of UK construction processes and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel regularly to UK project sites and Irish offices.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior engineering leadership and technical oversight for UK live projects.
• Review and approve designs, submittals, and drawings.
• Oversee BIM priorities and coordination across projects.
• Manage procurement tracking and tackle delivery risks.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the UK engineering team.
• Coordinate with Project Directors/Managers on resources and risk.
• Ensure works meet client specs and QA plan.
• Support tender input with technical risk reviews.
