Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is seeking an experienced UK Installation Operations Manager for our Liverpool base. The role oversees the installations department, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and compliance with health and safety standards.

You will manage resources, schedules and subcontractors, coordinating with Sales, Transport and Production teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations or installations management.
  • Experience managing teams and allocating resources; managing installation schedules/workloads.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge including RAMS, risk assessments and site surveys.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and cross-departmental communication skills.
  • Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and external partners.
  • Ability to monitor costs and manage departmental spend.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to follow company procedures and maintain high operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installations department daily operations and service quality.
  • Ensure adequate resources to cover all installation work.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Transport Planning on stock deliveries and start/completion dates.
  • Liaise with Production and New Product Development on new product concepts.
  • Create and maintain staff qualifications and training records.
  • Minimise subcontract spend while ensuring quality and safety.
  • Maintain RAMS, risk assessments and site surveys for compliance.
  • Develop a robust schedule of works with visibility for Sales Managers.
  • Ensure all jobs are signed off for accurate invoicing and timely payments.
  • Liaise with suppliers of required equipment and manage purchasing processes.
  • Maintain all vehicles and plant within the installs department.
  • Present monthly information and reports.
  • Adhere to Company Guidelines and all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.

Job description

UK Installation Operations Manager | Liverpool | Full Time | £50,000-£60,000 per annum DOE

The Role

You will be responsible for the overall running and accountability of the installations department, ensuring it operates effectively day-to-day and delivers a satisfactory service to customers while adhering to all internal and external health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install all customer fencing requirements to the required standard both internally and externally
  • Ensure the department has adequate levels of resource to cover all required installation work
  • Work closely with Sales and Transport Planning to ensure a satisfactory level of communication for stock deliveries and start/completion dates of all work
  • Liaise with both Production and New Product Development on the concept of any new products
  • Create a full staff register to include qualifications and training requirements
  • Ensure subcontract spend is at a minimum
  • Ensure all loading plans, RAMS, Risk Assessments and Site Surveys are correct and complete
  • Create and maintain a robust, visible schedule of works so that all Sales Managers can have visibility of current and proposed work capacity
  • Create and maintain a robust installations work plan. It must include, but not be limited to, a schedule of works, people, H&S requirements and sign off for invoicing
  • Ensure all jobs are complete and signed off so that invoicing is accurate and on time
  • Liaise with all suppliers of required equipment
  • Create and maintain a robust purchasing system to allow all accounts transactions to be seamless
  • Maintain all vehicles and plant within the Installs Department
  • Install a routine of Continuous Improvement at all times
  • Present monthly information and reports as required
  • Work within the Company Guidelines at all times
  • Ensure all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times
Requirements
Essential
  • Previous experience in an operations or installations management role
  • Experience managing teams, allocating resources and managing installation schedules and workloads
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements, including RAMS, risk assessments and site surveys
  • Strong planning, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments
  • Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and external partners
  • Ability to monitor costs and manage departmental spend
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work to company procedures and maintain high operational standards
Desirable
  • Experience within the fencing, construction or installation industry
  • Experience managing vehicles and plant
  • Experience of implementing continuous improvement processes
  • Experience with purchasing systems and stock or equipment planning
