Job summary

Hewett-Recruitment is assisting a well-established UK manufacturer to recruit an Installation Technician. The role involves installing specialist products at customer sites across the UK and Ireland, leading site labour, and providing training and technical guidance.

The candidate will have mechanical installation experience, basic electrical knowledge, a full UK driving licence, and be comfortable travelling and working at height. Salary £30,000-£36,000 plus overtime and benefits.

The Role

• Install specialist products at customer sites across the UK and Ireland
• Lead and supervise site labour to ensure installations are completed safely and to a high standard
• Support customers, dealers and distributors with product training and technical guidance
• Complete site documentation, reports and installation records
• Ensure company vehicles, tools and equipment are maintained and organised
• Assist with product development and testing activities when required

Requirements

Essential:

• Previous mechanical fitting or installation experience
• Basic electrical or electronic knowledge
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Comfortable working at height and travelling extensively

Desirable:

• IPAF, PASMA or CSCS certification
• Experience leading small teams or subcontract labour
• Background in agricultural, construction, engineering or industrial environments
