Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking an HR Generalist to manage day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle in the UK. The role covers onboarding, changes to terms, and offboarding, with duties including contract preparation and pre-employment checks.

You will maintain accurate HR records, support probation processes, and assist with HR reporting and policy communications. Fluency in Chinese and English and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Generalist, HR Officer or HR Administrator roles.
• Fluency in Chinese and English for stakeholder communication.
• Strong Excel skills for data handling and reporting.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR administration across the employee lifecycle.
• Handle onboarding, transfers, changes to terms and offboarding.
• Prepare employment contracts, offer letters and amendments.
• Coordinate pre-employment checks and right-to-work verifications.
• Ensure accurate HR records and data in systems.
• Support departures, resignations and final administrative tasks.
• Manage probation processes and tracking.
• Prepare HR reports and data summaries.
• Support HR policies and internal communications.
• Maintain HR data, headcount trackers and onboarding/offboarding records.
