Qualifications

• Strong public policy/legislative background with external stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in UK government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, or corporate affairs.
• Ability to connect policy developments to commercial and operational impacts.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage long-term relationships with government authorities, industry bodies, and associations.
• Shape and execute Caterpillar’s UK government affairs strategy to support objectives.
• Monitor regulatory developments across policy matters affecting Caterpillar and customers.
• Provide clear policy insights to senior leaders and translate into actionable positions.
• Represent Caterpillar’s interests in meetings with government institutions and stakeholders.
• Prepare briefings, policy summaries, stakeholder maps, and position papers for executives.
• Align legal, compliance, communications, sustainability, and operations functions on objectives and risks.
• Identify policy risks/opportunities and advise on advocacy campaigns backed by data.
