Job summary

The Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Group is seeking a Data Protection Manager (FTC) in Ashford. You will lead data protection and information governance activities, working with senior leaders and the external Data Protection Officer to ensure UK GDPR compliance and best practice across the organisation.

You will manage SARs, DPIAs and policy development, providing commercially-focused advice and driving continuous improvement while collaborating with IT for security initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Protection/Information Governance or Compliance roles.
• Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR and related legislation.
• Ability to manage SARs, FOI, DPIAs and data breach processes.
• Excellent communication to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead data protection and information governance activities across the organisation.
• Manage SARs, FOI requests, and DPIAs efficiently and compliantly.
• Develop, review and maintain information governance policies and procedures.
• Provide expert advice on data protection laws and information governance matters.
• Support DSPT compliance and collaborate with IT on cyber security initiatives.
• Deliver training and raise awareness of data protection across the business.
• Conduct audits, monitor compliance and drive continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
