Job summary

PayByPhone Technologies Inc. is seeking a UK Financial Controller in Hatfield (Hybrid) to lead the UK finance function.

You will own accounting operations including monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, tax, VAT, and the UK company secretarial duties. You will partner with commercial leadership, support FP&A budgeting, forecasting, and cash management, and lead the UK Finance Team to ensure robust controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 7+ years managing a full-cycle accounting function.
• Experience with UK GAAP, UK VAT and HMRC filing requirements.
• Experience leading, coaching, developing and hiring a finance team.
• Public practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK Finance Team development, allocation of work and performance reviews.
• Own UK accounts production and monthly/annual statutory accounts with variance analysis.
• Oversee year-end statutory accounts, tax return, VAT/HMRC filings and audit.
• Partner with UK commercial leadership on contracts, pricing and VAT implications.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash management for UK entities.
